Upgrading my PC

My pc which I got from a mate some time ago is starting to show its age. Am thinking I could upgrade some of the features. This is my set up:

    AMD Phenom(tm) II x2550
    3.11 GHz
    1.93 of Ram
    Windows XP 32bit
    800gb hdrive
    nvidia geforce 6150se nforce 430
    MSI MS-7309
    3xusb2
    2xusb
    DVD writer

What could I do with this? Is it possible to upgrade or would I be better off buying a new PC?

Cheers in advance for any advice

Depends what you use it for. You could increase the RAM up to 8GB maybe, but you'd need to change the OS to use that much. If you don't use it online, XP is still OK. Otherwise, .....not so much. A 64GB or 128GB SSD would speed it up. You could change the graphics card.

edit: the crucial.com site says there's 6 versions of that model, I just checked the first to get the 8GB RAM figure

You could do a hell of a lot with that for anything apart from gaming really. Give it an extra couple of gigs of RAM, a new OS and an SSD and you'd have a very presentable PC for home/office use.
