    Hi,

As the title states has anyone bought from PA Moore Car Sales in Clonmel, Tipperary?

    http://www.pamoorecarsales.com/

    If so, any issues?

Looking at picking up a car...purely as a runaround car i.e. drive to train station, picking the kids up etc etc.

    Thanks.

He's been selling for quiet a while now and Ive never heard any bad comments about him. He advertises alot of his stock on donedeal. I'd deal with him anyways :)

Cheers mate. I've just wanted to check out. I've my eye on a Renault and maybe 1 or 2 others, purely as runaround cars. I work in Dublin and don't really want to deal with private dealers (and they probably don't want to deal with me either LOL).

No problem. I live in Thurles but I am in Clonmel a fare bit and I've never heard a bad word about him.

All I would advise you to do is a cartell.ie report on the car. It would be recommended by most people to do this on any car you are prepared buy!

He operates out of a garage on the Waterford road near Dunnes AFAIK.

I'm not really sure about that I know a few people who have bought off him and have had a few problems with the cars. I've never heard any good comments about him.

There are a lot of garages around Thurles that would do similar cars to what Pa Moore would have in stock?

The only risk I can see from Pa Moore is that he is only into car sales. So if anything happens the cars engine, then he would refer you elsewhere to a garage. This would be very time consuming and you would feel as if you are getting f**ked over to be honest.
(I have never heard this story from this garage, but have heard it from other Car Sales places)

@mhackett102 - well if you want to PM me some of the places in Thurles I can check them out, cheers. I'm also looking in Portlaoise as well, might try Roscrea.

    @laoisfan

    Hi there

Just wondering how you got on with Pa Moore car sales? I'm considering buying a car from him and wondering what his cars are like. First time using this so I hope u get to read it!

@Derekblake - went down & took a look but decided against buying there in the end. No particular reason. He seemed pleasant enough chap also. I ended up buying a Toyota Avensis in Portlaoise a few weeks later.

I dealt with Pa Moore car sales recently and had a good experience. Pa's son, Clive, sold me a car. I waived the warranty in order to buy the car at a cheaper price so I don't know how the after-sales care is but for the viewings and the sale itself, I found him very good to deal with. He gave me all the time and space I needed to check the car and do all the tests I wanted to do without ever making me feel under pressure. He also went out of his way to promptly get copies of documentation, VIN, VRC etc. to me so I could verify the car details. He didn't give me any "sales talk", wasn't pushy and was fair and reasonable in agreeing the price.

I googled him when I was deciding whether to buy the car to see if he was trustworthy. This thread came up in my search.
