    Hi all,

Just checking if anyone knows anything else about the Customer Champion role below in BoI.

    http ://boicareers.amris.com/recruitment/vacancyView.php?requirementId=1567&

(Remove space after semi colon, still too new for links unfortunately, pasted the main details below anyway)

    My initial impressions:

The technology mentions really interest me, but I'd reckon it's pretty much can you use smartphone, tablet etc.
Seems like a good first rung in a different industry, albeit maybe with a low initial salary.

Hard to know what sort of roles to compare to to discern anything about what you're daily work would be, salary etc.

    Cheers in advance!

As far as I know it's basically a floor walking job.
A customer comes into the branch and you will direct them to the correct machine or phone/computer if they can do what they are looking online. You would be trying to avoid people going to the actual tellers.
If you are looking to get into the banks its not a bad role and bank of Ireland are cool enough to work for

Sounds like a nice job if you like customer interaction. Dealing with all sections of the community from 18 year old students to 80 year old dears.

It's a few thousand less than that. I assume ur Dublin interview. I'm a munster based person.

It's a 6month contract too. Which was never mentioned before the interview. Anyway was great interview. Great interviewers and I felt good.

If anyone needs further info let me know.

Glad your interview went well. How much did they say salary is?Im not based in Dub but perhaps role is different.Did they mention a start date?

Unless I took it up wrong it's between 21-23k.

It would be beneficial to have qfa to progress in banking. This is a very new role as welcome person n get people using the IT in the bank to cut queues etc.

Could be tough role as you have to sell the Benefits of IT to Mrs Murphy 88 who just wants to lodge her few euro from her pension and cash a cheque. Will she really want to trust a computer to have it done right.

Thinking of doing a qfa qualification in the next few months to year and hopefully skip that step from welcomer to bank advisor about different loans mortgages pensions etc

Competency based interview, look up various situational questions and prepare for them by drawing from your work experience.

    Some questions I was asked-

Times when you provided exceptional customer service.
How you performed as part of a team.. a time when you had to help another team member.

No interview will be exactly the same so look up common questions asked in a competency based interview online and prepare your answers using the STAR method ( Situation, Task, Action, Result)
Be flexible as they may ask a variant of the question you prepared for. Don't just think of ready made answers to rehearse ad verbatim.

    Good luck with the interview!
