Mustang as a brand image may soon be stigmatised as a two door mondeo coupe though.
And the experience probably doesn't live up to the dream - its an awful tractor of a yoke really...

You sir, should not be here. You're quite aware that they sell mondeos in the states too, yes? Granted they are not called mondeos (taurus) but they are not known to be cross associated with the mustang, which, to be fair is an averagely priced car over there (economy spec) at just a shade over the price of the mondeo. The mustang may not "live up to the dream" but It wouldn't stop me smiling from ear to ear as I cruise by everyone in their mondeos.

Very meh compared to the classic 'Stangs imo, nothing beats them.

Lincoln MKZ, Ford (USA) Fusion (Mondeo in EU) and the front drive Mustang that is coming here are all based on the same floorpan - the 2.3 ecoboost is the same block and so on. Latest mustang is a 2 door mondeo for sure.

    Sorry I meant to say:

    MKZ/Mondeo are Front Wheel drive.

There are four wheel drive options on these pans.

Mustang is RWD by using the rear hald of the 4WD pressings in the pans.

    Its the same platform though.

Both tax and NCT are out of date, and is the wheel on the incorrect side? Tax I'm assuming is €1809

If I had the cash, I'd buy this one instead. It looks nicer :P

Speaking of cash - I'd say the depreciation on the 2015 RHD will be savage - you'll probably get a 2015 one for buttons in 2019 once the novelty has worn off - that you could convert to a van fro cheap tax.

Pitty they aren't doing it in Diesel.

Seriousy. Who gives a shìt? They can squeeze it onto a punto pan and make it single wheel drive and i will still be grinning.

I would tend to agree with an earlier post, that the classic stangs can't be beaten. The new ones are living off the classic brand, like a sitcom that has run for too long and lost the original cast.......but it still has a HUGE fan base.

To get the VRT down. Torque is good too.

I worry that once the novelty has warn off men in it will have that stame "I can't get laid" / gay/trying to hard/overcompensating stigma that say, megane CC or BMW convertible drivers have.

Make a great chick car though...if it were a diesel.

Yet even the 2.3 is going to be 750 Euro a year road tax...

Still i reckon a 170bhp Passat would give that thing pause.

The pre 2010 V6 has hilariously low output, 210bhp 240ft lb of torque, in a coupe that weights well over 1500kg

    How about a Fiesta ST?
    Or an unladen Transit?

The convertible isn't even a folding metal roof like the Focus CC chick car.
Think of the vandals. Or will somebody please think of the vandals. And the joyriders.

Love the colour/shape but the interior looks awful. Cheap plastic everywhere, awful steering wheel controls and not even full aircon/CC
