one of the few good things about the celtic tiger era was the improvement in the standard of our national car park. while we never quite reached the bugatti and pagani level , some fairly high end vehicles were sold during the time and even in recent times . so what are the most exclusive and interesting vehicles irish vehicles you have seen on our roads.

here are some vehicles that stood out for me

    141 D aston martin vanquish

141c bentley continental gt , white

07lk bentley arnage RL - LWB , black

    06d ford GT

    04D Merc SL65 , SILVER

    151C Merc G63AMG ,

07D ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOM MANSORY , BLACK.

    04D ROLLS ROYCE PHANTON - X1 BLUE MET - X1 CHAMPAGNE

I feel privileged to have seen quite a few Nissan Pixo's on our roads. To share the roads with some moneys worth of car is an honour

Seen at least two Irish reg Maybachs, all imported here brand new. I think that a third one I saw was also Irish, but I didn't get the plate.

One of them was the Treasury one, the other I saw around Blackrock a couple of times, a 57.

Some of the stuff in Terenure is worth more than pretty much any new car and I've seen the arse of what I believe to be an Irish reg Miura in a garage in Limerick a few years back. No idea where it is now, never seen it at any shows.

forgot about johnny ronan's maybach , think magnier has one too. like the maybach but ronans one ( if he stll has it )is an early model with horrible looking alloys and too small wheels

Pretty sure a Bugatti Vayron calls West Cork home. I saw it in Cork City and couple of years ago. I know a couple of other people who have seen it too. It does tend to stick out.

I've seen an XFR estate around cork, but your bog standard XF ain't exactly a rarity or that expensive (relatively). Only other thing that caught my eye lately was a cork reg tesla roadster in blue. Wonder does he have that recently sighted blue model S now.

Johnny Ronan had or had one, John Magnier has one and so does Enya.

Down in my neck of the woods, there is a 08 C65 Amg, an S55 Amg 2008 I think, a 06-07 Porsche 911 Gt3 RS, an Aston Martin a BMW M6 and a few M5's ( three of the last few belonging to the same fella )

There is a family near town who have a nice collection too, Hummers, Ferrari, G wagon, Bentley and Rollers etc but they're mostly based in Dublin.

Do you mean a C63? I have never heard of a C65. ..would be quite a feat to get a V12 into a c class

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,441 ✭✭✭ofcork

Could be a CL 65,also there was no S55 in 2008 it would have been either a 63 or 65.

The tax on my car is 1080..........Pretty sure that fits into the expensive class!!

i heard the guy who owns cash and carry kitchens bought the bugatti but didnt think it was actually being driven around - rumours were it was exported . think he might be same guy who owns 141c bentley conti gt as saw it near the cash and carry factory near midleton

would be surprised if that was a xfr you saw , probably just a sports pack fitted as quite a few of them around.

Thread title is very anti limerick. All the nice cars I see are yellow reg. How they keep them so white I don't know.

Theres a nice red jag xfr saloon down cork. Mmm 5l supercharged v8 engine noise.

I think one of the cars you are referring to belonged to our old neighbors. A blue 2004 Maybach. They moved abroad about five years ago and I don't know what happened to the car. It was a huge car and the guy never really drove it.

could well have been an XFR…I didnt want to stare at it too much, so actually had to google which type it was!

Yep, your right. Had to check the reg on cartell.ie. S6 Amg. I'm pretty sure there is a Brabus badge on the rear but can't say whether or not if it's a real one, nevertheless at 6.3 litres, it's gonna go like stink :)

Even more interestingly the newer s63 is a 5.5 litre and the new c63 is a 4.0!
