If an Irish company selling computer games receives licence fee income from a foreign company for the use of patent it granted to the foreign company for the use for the use of the patent. How is this income taxed? If the income is the in the financial statements under sales is it just taxed as normal income?

Does this mean I pay tax on the amounts received? And if so is this 12.5% or 25%?
