Hi, I arrived in Toronto yesterday and was given only a one year work permit, thought IEC was 2 years? Passport expiry is 2020, two year health insurance, plenty of funds, experienced CV...is this normal? Missus applied through German IEC, same deal, we're both in our early 30s.

Asked the immigration officer, he told us to phone a number which we'll do tomorrow

    Any ideas?!

    Thanks

Which passport did you apply under? As far as I know, German IEC is for one year only anyway. If you have an Irish passport you should have gotten two years.
