Osram LED light bulbs half price in Tesco

    Was in Tesco (kilrush) earlier, they were clearing out OrsamLED light bulbs.

    They had a selection of GU10, GU3, bayonet, screw cap etc all half price.
    I relieved them of most of the GU10 ones, but there are plenty of everything else.

    GU10 35w equivelant €5.50
    GU10 50w equivelant €6.00

    Regular sized bayonet/screw in were €7.25

    Maynooth hadn't a single bayonet LED in stock as far as I could see. Nearly all my table/standard lamps are edison but I've never replaced the main fittings - and would prefer not to as most of them are replacement bayonets anyway after I got rid of the horrible chandelier fittings the previous owners had

    Have had trouble getting current-generation CFLs in bayonet also; definitely looks like we're backed in to a corner with an obsolete fitting.

    You can get adpater on Amazon or ikea

    Looks a bit ridiculous at times though. Perfect if you're not confident replacing the fitting though.

    You can also get bayonet to GU10 if you're a bit mental...

    I have a bayonet to plug socket adaptor here from the 60s :)
