Difficulty finding plumber/company

Due to subsidence the water pipe carrying water from the mains to our house in the centre of Dublin has been blocked, and cannot be repaired. A new pipe has to be taken through our front garden (about 20 meters) from the mains to the indoor pipes - this has been discussed at length and agreed with the DCC and some plumbers who have looked at the job. I have engaged a builder to help with any work needed in the garden, etc.

However, I find it extremely difficult to find a plumber or company willing to take this on. I have spoken to many by phone and made appointments but most did not turn up. Around a dozen have come, looked at the job and said they would get back to me, send me a quote, etc - but that was the last I heard from them.

So we are without water now for weeks. I would appreciate tips or feedback on how to get around this problem.

It's not that big of a job if you have a builder doing the digging and making the ways it's really only a days work for a plumber and some materials I would think ballpark would be €300-€400.
There are plenty of lads here that work dublin someone might pm you about it

The builder should be able to get a plumber to finish the job handy enough. If the street main is ok, the internal plumbing is ok, and the builder is able to lay the pipe, it really shouldn't take very long at all to do.
