Folks I need advice. I went out this morning and it was frosty I went to use the wipers and they went up and stopped and are not working, could I have blown the motor? Or would it be a blown fuse? What would be the cheapest way for me to get this sorted? Thanks

Can you hear the wiper motor running?

It could well be the fuse - my yoke used to pop the washer-fluid motor fuse regularly until I switched to antifreeze stuff. For the sake of about tenpence, change it first.

If you can hear the motor, but the wipers don't move, it could be a problem with the linkage. If the wipers were frozen to the screen there could have been extra stress on the joints.

...plus, if the motor is running it isn't the fuse. Sorry, I missed that bit.

If the wiper motor is running, then there is probably no point in replacing the motor. It could be just that the linkage needs to be re-attached to the motor. A worn joint can pop out, meaning the motor will run, but the wipers won't move. A Megane Haynes manual should be able to tell you how to access the linkage. Normally involves removing plastic trim from behind the wiper arms at the base of the windshield.
