Well lads. A relative is using an Inspiron 1720 from Dell they bought years ago. I replaced Vista with XP when they got it and its still going nicely.

    This is it http://www.cnet.com/uk/products/dell-inspiron-1720/specs/

They just want a little upgrade, the RAM to 4GB and install Windows 7.

I can do that just want to double check I will get the correct stuff. First off can someone tell me what compatible 2 x 2GB's RAM I need to get?

Also will it support 64 bit Windows 7 or 32 bit?

Will the drivers that came with it for Vita/XP do for W7?

You'll get the drivers from the Dell site.
    It will run 64bit windows
    DDR2 ram that is PC2-6400 or PC2-5300
