    was thinking about looking at a car in dublin...have found out through a pal that it was first registered in feb 2005 and yet the nct cert is in nov? should it not be on the month it was first registered ie feb?

    any one any suggestions?

    He may have put the car through early to get a full 2 years prior to it hitting its 10th birthday and then it would only be getting 1 years NCT. Is the expiry date November 2016?

    yes it is, but i dont think the due month changes,, my nct was up in march 15,,,,got it tested in jan 15 but only until march 16,,,,the nct due month( based on first registration) does not change,, so i dont know.

    i did and it shows nov16 which does not match first month of registration,,,and it not a uk import

    Yeah, but they changed the nct system on July 28 last year so it no longer always expires on the cars birthday.
