Nothing wrong with Lidl oil if it meets the spec on your car.
Generally I find too much oil better than too Lidl.

Good quality tyres at knockdown cheap prices, just do not see the issue and still have not read an opposing view that would change my mind.

As for lidl oil, never knew they did this, thanks for the heads up. Have never set foot in a lidl or aldi before but this could tempt me to do just that

Oh, so you're not going to be driving it... like me... :(

Let me throw a scenario at you... one car has a good block, but a bad head, and there is a donor car with the same engine, but it runs perfectly fine. Would you replace the head or whole engine? I've heard the head needs to be skimmed or whatnot after removal.

Id fire in the whole engine, but thats just me

Changing an engine in a Punto is absolute childs play, if you dont wanna go to the hassle of getting the head skimmed etc then go for it but it might be worth doing for peace of mind and all that

What are the chances of a sub 10 minute at the Nurburgring on your first trip.
I know it's all down to traffic but it'd be a nice milestone and achievable in my car too.
71mph average speed to make it around.

Well, they've introduced speed limits at certain parts of the track... so you'd have to make it up in other areas. Also

Anyone have one of these lying about that I can buy....no....didnt think so. I would like to replace the trd one on my steering wheel with the proper Toyota one, I had a look at the wheel today and it looks like it just clicks in. The wheel I am using came on a Celica, Yaris and MR2.

Most of the limits on the tight corners are not restrictive anyway because you wouldn't be going much faster. 250kmh limit along Flugplatz coming up to the Schwedenkreuz crest is mental, I won't be near that cresting the hill!

I will take that bet :) Honestly! I have watched my car do it in 9 mins on youtube, very fast lap.
Watched it at 10:01 and it was sedate enough that I could top it without a doubt.
I will provide video proof ;)

And I've watched mine do it in 9.30 and it has no mods. Still doesn't mean id go out and drive it to try and get a time in my daily driver.

    Here is said video

Oh I know, It's a three hour Touristfahrten that day, I hope to get 6 laps in.
The first few will be sighting and building my speed.
If I'm not feeling it I'd be the first to stop trying but if it comes close there will be an attempt :)

Edit: I know it's stripped but an 8:29 BTG for a 323i is some achievement!
