I normally use an E180 dongle for broadband and 3G signal can be up and down but especially on Saturdays. Suited me fine though.

Anyway I got an E586, 3 branded modem and unlocked it and popped my sim card from the E180 dongle into it and the wifi signal has shown full bars for a few weeks now.

I cant understand that. The only other thing I changed was to get a wireless adaptor card for my desktop.

So how can a wifi connection give a more reliable service than a dongle when both used with the same sim card.
