    Hi folks,

    Wondering if anyone can help,
I purchased some land and erected a boundary fence separating my parcel of land from the land the neighbour held on to. I planted a hedge inside the fence and thought that was grand. But recently I have stated receiving Solictor letters from the neighbour telling me to remove the hedge as it has to be 2 foot from the fence. The hedge is currently about 8-10 inches from the fence line. Does anyone know if he is correct?? He won't engage in conversation with me and I don't particularly want to replant 500mts of hedging that has 2 years growth.

    Many thanks,
    KGR

Did you fall out with him?

Next time you see him tell him where to go. Verbally

If your hedge is encroaching his land. Cut it back

that's rubbish. you can plant what you want, where you want on your property. once it's planted on your land, you're fine. ignore the letters because your neighbour has no right to decide what or where you plant on your property. i'm a landscaper
