Could someone who won a voucher for a meal in a hotel valued at 150 euro sell it say for 100.? Would they have to tell the hotel?

Unless the voucher specifically names you as the owner or indicates that it is non transferable you should have no problem. I won Irish Ferries ones and sold them, the buyer had no difficulty using them. If in doubt, give the hotel a call

Check the T&Cs see if it mentions non-transferable or anything to indicate that it is solely for your use. We issue vouchers if someone said they had bought it from someone else we would have no problem with that. If vouchers were all non-transferable you would have some problems in January given the amount bought as presents in December!

A voucher is generally transferable as they often are parts of promos or hand-outs. If there is no name on it, or it was given to you specifically, you should be able to sell it.
Ring the hotel and ask if it's ok to let another person use it. The hotel doesn't need to know if it was sold or given away.

None at all? Check their website see if it mentions it. If there are non T&Cs then there are no T&Cs you should be good to go!

A restaurant without a website these days ! I think you shouldn't worry about it if they have no website to publish T&Cs and no T&Cs on the voucher they really can't complain about how it is used.

I'm gonna suggest something different. I say you should go. Go and eat big. Go and eat all the fine foods you can fit inside your fine hungry belly! Mooar fine foods!!!! Have a grand evening of the finest of foods and the finest of wines €150 can buy.

    I mean, why not?

Sure, I know money's hard come by these days, but just this once - I say go - go and eat big. And have a grand evening.

    The steak or the salmon?

What do you mean! The steak OR the salmon!?! I will have both of course!!!!!

Why would there be a problem if there's no name on the voucher? A voucher is effectively an IOU, it makes no odds to the restaurant who spends it.
