Thinking of getting the honed crema marfil marble tiles for the hall and open plan kitchen dining area of a new build. looking for opinions from all who may have same or knowledge of same regarding care and maintenance. are they easy to keep clean ? do they wear well ? any problems with them ? do they stain or mark ?. They are coming in damn expensive but I don't want to be having to clean them every day or treat them every year. Kitchen will be cream painted with acacia wood table and breakfast bar attached to island. Appliances are going to be shiny black, work tops will be granite (not sure of colour yet), doors and hallway stairs will be walnut (I think). All opinions welcome and thanks in advance.

I put crema marfil tiles down two and a half years ago and they still look like new. I don't have to do anything with them other than use a streak-free cleaner. Everything has been spilt on them & they clean up with no problem and don't stain. Mine are polished - not sure of the difference between polished and honed though.

Dirt may stick to honed surfaces more than polished. My advice would be to get a sample and test staining them!

I've heard of issues with sealed flooring getting dirty so i'd ask to see a sealed floor in situ to see how it fares.

Hi - just wondering if you got your crema marfil laid yet?
We just ordered ours for a new kitchen/diner layout but postponed the grout colour decision for the moment :) Just wondering what you did or any opinions of anyone else reading this?
Light grey seems to be the practical choice although I think cream grout will look better and more seamless than the grey.
    Thanks for any advice!
