    Hello everyone.
My friend is in a bit of a bind. his two sisters and he are currently in Beaumont hospital watching over their dad who is in a coma from a serious head injury. they are currently staying in a hotel near the hospital but it looks like they may have to prepare for the long haul up there. the problem is they have limited funding and the parking at the hotel, the hospital and the room are taking their toll.
Can anybody please recommend short term lodgings such as a flat or a B&B within walking distance or on a bus route where 3 people could stay. they are not looking for something flash just a place to sleep at night and dont mind sharing the one room as they will only sleep there.
Any advice or suggestions would be of great help.

    Thanks

    Shane

Have they looked at the listings on Daft.ie and MyHome.ie? They both have short term accommodation listings for apartments and/or rooms to rent in houses, that rent by the week or the month. The local newsagents, SPAR/CENTRA etc etc shops tend to have noticeboards where people put up Room to Rent signs, so a bit of old fashioned leg work around the area may turn up something. The Killester Supervalu is at the bottom of Collins Avenue & they have a big notice board. The Tesco in nearby Omni shopping centre may have one too, I'm not sure. Unfortunately, DCU is nearby, so cheap short term accommodation in the area, tends to be snapped up pretty quickly.

how about air b and b ? there might be a 1 bed apt up for rent. Or look anywhere on the 16 bus route as its goes by the hospital.

there is a B&B just outside the main entrance to the hospital on the other side of the road. There is also one or 2 houses for rent a few doors up directly opposite the main entrance. Dont know who the agents are but they have boards outside they can get the numbers off
