Just got asked to come in for a work practice day following a successful interview for an administration role. Is this common and what can I expect will happen on the day.

Also is this a positive sign that I may get the job. I am really nervous as I really want the job.

I reckon they have asked several people in for the same purpose.
If it was me I'd say thanks but no thanks. You're either offering me the job or not.

A few English company's do this in retail...One that springs to mind is Holland and Barrett, my house made did his interview, got offered the training day...

Kinda thinking it was a good sign...only to find out they'd been using the trail day to staff the store for a number of saturdays previous...

I think its a joke to expect someone to work for free, for a job that starts off at minimum wage
