I'm not an owner of a Cube agree but I have a Cube peloton and a Cube Sl pro and from my experience of both I would highly recommend buying a Cube.

I have the Agree SLT GTc. Haven't been out on it much as it's the good bike but love it so far

I have the peloton race, full 105, bang on the money so glad I did research and didn't go for a defy 1, full carbon for €1300 boom

Thanks I'm going to take it for a spin early next week and see how it feels. It seems to be a lot of bike for the money

I was told cube have the best bang for buck bikes this year, could be just upselling but it's hard to argue with that price, and not a bad word to say about them

Have a 2012 Agree with 105 - excellent bike. Cube and Scott are the bang for buck bikes this year.

    Have canyon lost their ways?

I don't think so, but have heard from a few quarters that Cube seem to be trying to match Canyon, etc. for price, so they're up there among the best value. They also have the advantage of being sold in shops so you can look/try before buying, which is a disadvantage of Canyon.

Yeah got one here and like it.

Also used warranty on another cube bike and their customer service was really good.

Second that , my freehub went last week after 5 months ( 5000 km) and the shop gave me a loan of a wheel while cube fix/ replace the freehub. Also got a free cable change all round from the shop.

    thanks for the replies
the reports seem pretty mixed about the frame quality
i'm no expert and dont do huge miles so i doubt it will get that much abuse but i'm a little nervous none the less

I have an '11 Agree GTC Pro as well. These have Ultegra shifters and front mech, and everything else is 105.

Apart from the questionable Easton wheels and bars and slightly heavy front forks, they're a damn good bike.

    Good bike. Silly name.

Have the Cube Agree GTC 2012, use it almost daily since I got it and no problems with the frame/bike. Came with 105 and I've slowly been moving to Ultegra.

I have recently purchased the cube agree pro 2015...and the full 105 group set is a bonus for the price. its super smooth...and a top class bike at €1300.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 214 ✭✭R1_Pete

That's a lot of bike for the money. Nice buy especially with the weak euro as everything is impacted..

Have this bike OP for about 4 months now, love it. Zero complaints.
Saddle gets discolored quickly but meh...

My LBS cant get them now he reckons they are completely sold out in a 60 frame would go elsewhere but he was trading my current bike as part of the deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,359 ✭✭✭jon1981

I called 10 bike shops today from Dublin to Kilkenny (no joke) for the pelethon race. looking for a 50cm for the gf, even 53cm ... no luck. Cube are not making any more this year apparently. The pelethon race is great value for 999 with full 105 groupset. Not surprised it's flying out the door.

However, chainreactioncycles.com had some in stock, but can't use them on bike to work scheme

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Andalucia

if you venture a little further south of Kilkenny, you should get sorted, couple of good cube stockists in Co Waterford, it that's not too far

Hmmm... Are you sure he wasn't just referring to the circa 1k peletons?

Do you mind me asking model/size?
I see some places seem to have 60cm agrees but the more popular 53/56's seem to be like hens teeth.
    Cheers,
    Marty.

Well the peloton sl I'm waiting for is a 53.Colour wise I wanted a red and black, probably can't get,so opted for black and white and still nothing???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 64 ✭✭ImThatGuy

I picked up at 62cm red SL recently, stock is very low at the moment, LBS said a lot of people were buying them this year and the stock has taken a hit, with the new models coming out shortly there's not much chance of finding stock. Great bikes though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭martyc5674

Yeah seems to be huge demand...sure I might be getting the 2016 version yet!

Well finally got my Peloton today, well worth the wait.Havnt been on a road bike in years so it will take a bit of getting use to,gear change especially.Could only get black and white but colour is really growing on me.Any ideas for mud guards,a good clip on??? .Also looking for a dual platform pedal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 223 ✭✭conkennedy

+1 on the Cube. I've a 2013 Agree GTC Tiagra groupset. No complaints here

The 105 brake calipers leave f**k all clearance for conventional mud guards. The SKS race blades will work , though pricey.
