I would like to add a smoke/CO detector to a Siemens 5300 Panel.

From reading around, looks like best / cost effective way is to use a Visonic MCR308 expander and their smoke / CO detectors.

    Any advice much appreciated.

Have you no wire free receiver in the control panel to pick up the seimens type?

Thanks, yes have a wireless receiver.

What are the current model numbers for the Siemens types?

Tried before with REW but they didn't seem to have any.

Is it a Si Way receiver you have in the panel?
What wireless devices have you already?

You could use a visonic smoke and receiver.. Might be cheaper

If this is a Siemens Panel it may need to be licensed to use Visonic devices.

REW will have these. If not they will order them in for you.

Visonics one is a cheaper alternative.
