booking flight with Ryanair

    Hi any help or knowledge greatly appreciated. Just trying to book a flight at the minute, got as far as confirmation window and then screen froze. got the site open in a different browser and got a screen saying the booking system is temporarily unavailable.

    Can anyone confirm if they used the verified by visa system whereby I have to input my code ? I haven't booked flights with Ryanair in a long time so can't remember. If it does then I am fine but just a bit nervous if I try to rebook then I will be charged twice. So far nothing gone from my account but just want to confirm first before I try again

    Their site seems to be having issues. I'm trying to check in for a friend and it's timing out all over the place.

    They are saying on twitter that they are aware of the problem and working on it. In fairness they are usually pretty quick at sorting these things.

    I've had problems myself from time to time - their website sometimes just fails to function normally. If you haven't had an email then you can be pretty sure your first attempt failed so you can safely try again.

    I think if you want to be absolutely sure, one thing you can do is
    1. Go into Manage Booking
    2. Go into View My Booking
    3. Choose Option 3 at the bottom, in the 'Retrieve my booking' part
    4. Enter date, email address etc. and see if anything comes up.

    With Option 3 you don't need any booking reference.

    The site is back now but clunking along slowly, probably under stress from lots of people at once.

    I'm having my payment declined this evening using a visa debit card even though there is plenty on the card to cover payment, are there still issues?
