i gave my car to my wife and traded her car for a new car for me.
we both have fully comprehansive policys and named drivers on each others policy.
rather than change my old car into her name (another owner) i have left it in my name and registered the new car (my car ) in her name.

are we both still comprehensively insured or have i made a balls of this !!

Call your insurance company to clarify...

I'm pretty sure you have to check with your insurance and even swap it into your correct names.

    This is wrong.

Married people have shared insurable interest in all assets owned by either person. Having the car in your spouses name makes no difference in this case.
You're grand OP. My own parents have done this for the last 15 years
