My wife has left me and the marital home 7 weeks ago and is now living with another man. I am still in the marital home. My question here is what in Irish law is 'legal abandonment'? I'm looking into all the financial aspects, assets etc and have been granted legal aid thank goodness. I'm wondering about my current position and how 'legal abandonment' might apply in my case. I realise that my solicitor to be allocated to me by the Board will advise further, the waiting list with the Board is 4 months plus and would appreciate any input/advise at this stage.
