does a tax refund count as income?

maybe a dumb q but if you're on JSA and get a tax refund that's not meant to count as income is it? and when you get a mans test do they ask to see bank accounts again, as revenue lodge my refund (under 1,000 quid) into my acct thanks!

It's not income and under a grand wont have any effect on your means assessment..assuming you weren't above or it won't bring you above the 20 grand total savings allowable.
