I'm a fan of indiegogo and kickstarter campaigns and recently found an interesting smart watch (although they call it wearable computer) on indiegogo.
The possibilities the company show look pretty amazing and I was holding off funding to see how successful the project is. The campaign was suposed to end today with only 50% funded, but it seems it has now been extended. I have no experience with smartwachtes and as I like apple products I was holding out for the apple watch. However this watch on indiegogo seems so much more capable than anything else for sale especially for the price (currently $164 + shipping for "early bird"). Anyway anyone see why not to get this or why people are not funding this campaign? Link: HIRIS wearable computer

This thing could be in pre-production for ages. The Kairos smartwatch still looks to be nowhere near market-ready, so I'd say those backers are out of pocket. Or it might actually be produced, but like the weird "smart rings", it could be nothing like the nice CAD renders and be really bulky and impractical in real life.

If you want a smartwatch, then I'd at least go for one that's available now from an established manufacturer.
