    Hey,
I am a 25 yr old expectant mum living just outside Tralee. Just wondering what is there to do here, or if there is any groups of mums that meet up or anything down here?! I've 8 weeks until bubs arrives and I'm quite bored! I dont have many friends down here, but I'd like to get to know more!

    Hiya!

I dont live on Tralee but amnt far from it either :)

Some of the groups I know of: there are sling meets once a month, and you can find the details on heir facebook group BWI Kerry Sling Library. If you're planning on breastfeeding theres a Breastfeeding mammies in Kerry group page, and details of La Leche League and Cuidiu meetings are on here: and again they happen once a month (and you can go to all while pregnant). Theres also the PHN run facebook group Tuesdays in St Brendans Pastoral Centre at 1130 I think.

Mondays at ten *I Think* there is just a regular parent and baby/toddler group in St Brendans Pastoral Centre.

When baby comes along there are a few places doing baby massage, and if you ask the PHN they will know too, if you'd like that.

Are you having baby in Tralee? If you have any more questions feel free to ask or you can pm me if you like Im often in Tralee :o

    Hey Cyning!

Thanks so much for your reply! yup having the baby here in KGH! Time is rolling around really quick! 😄 First baby so I'm a bit nervous! Hoping to breastfeed alright, so fingers crossed that works out :)

what kind of group is sling? heard of la leche now and mothers and toddlers! Was just wondering do new mums use these?

Facebook groups will be an excellent resource! Do you know when the next la leche league or Cuidiu meetings are on?

    Thanks again 😊

We are all nervous first time round (and second too lol!). Sling meets are where you get to try out slings for carrying baby: some babywear all the time, others just sometimes! I don't go to the one in Tralee but certainly the one in listowel has lots of babies at it.

Not sure when the next meetings are on but if you join that FB group you will get all the info there (and don't worry about joining when pregnant that's the best time to join!).
