    Good stuff enjoyed that
But once again I have plenty of questions

But I suppose that's why I watch the show - leaves me wanting more so to speak.

    1. Where's the gun?
    2. what's the real deal in Alexandria - people that naïve couldn't have lasted
      this long
    3. what's the story with the girl? foe/friend

Yeah that was all a bit odd I thought. I had to laugh at it because it just brought me back to when Carl was always wandering off on his own without no one noticing...it was like a running joke at times!

Good episode overall. They seemed to have struck a nice balance with the pace of the show now. The story is moving along at a decent rate, things are happening and you feel that other things will happen.

It was genuinely heartwarming to see them do normal things again, especially knowing what they've had to do in order to get there. As Glenn said when he was asked by Deanna why this had to work 'Because we've been out there almost too long'...you knew exactly what he meant.

That Aidan came across as a real dick, great to see Glenn put him in his place before landing one on him. And I wasn't expecting Deanna to have a go at her son in front of the newcomers. That whole scene was done very well I thought. The idea that they'll be watching each other's back is great, although you can be sure they'll be splitting up a lot more now and that's when trouble might happen.

The best thing about it all was getting to see a clean-shaven Sheriff Grimes again...or Constable Grimes as he now is! After what he's been through it's so good to see some of his humanity restored. Looks like he's going to get some action with Jessie too. After her husband's menacing 'welcome to Alexandria' greeting to Rick, clearly he is one to be wary of.

But even that wasn't as menacing as Rick's line at the very that if the Alexandria residents aren't up to the job then he'll just take the place. You tell 'em, fella!
Can't wait for next week's episode.

The shaving of Rick's beard was always one that really stuck with me from the comics, so glad they actually kept it the same in the TV show, because it's so symbolic of a fresh start... I'm a big fan of the Alexandria arc, because it's such a big change in many ways and still manages to maintain the main premise of the show, that things will continue to go up sh*t creek as the series goes on... Really want to see what jobs the rest of them get though, how Carol's plan pans out, and how Daryl will fit in to the community...

I really liked Carols interview - definitely playing a wolf in sheep's clothing. She single-handedly took down terminus and sells herself as a 'den mother'. Even when placing down the gun on the cart - doing it awkwardly like the gun was too big for her to handle.

Ricks final line was great too.

Well the main thing from this episode was that Rick showered, shaved and got a haircut :P Being chased by zombies is no excuse to sacrifice fashion and hygiene.

First episode in a long while where I have actually liked Glenn. The new lad with him was an asshole and I can imagine a rivalry plot between them will happen now.

Really wondering what will happen with Daryl, doesn't look like he's enjoying it.
I was hoping she would put him in charge of runs but that doesn't look likely with her son currently in charge, other than that I hope she doesn't ask him to leave

Interesting times ahead, felt that episode went very quick compared to some, just want to watch next weeks now!

Not sure why the group doesn't take over the community. it seems like a very small population. Why follow rules if its going to get killed?

Really enjoyed this episode. Darryl doesn't seem able to fit in there because even pre-epidemic he would not be at ease in this suburbia. The girl could be good as maybe she was out on her own too long.

I liked it. Seeing Rick cleaned up was good. Carol doesn't trust the situation either or maybe she was just trying to be accepted? Her old lady clothes were awful!

Where is the girl going outside?
What's really the deal in Alexandria?

    Don't mess with Glenn.

Thought there was some good imagery at the end with Carol and Daryl on either side of Rick's shoulders, like a good conscience and bad conscience ie clean, pure clothes and dirty, unclean ones. But then Rick invokes both sides of the spectrum with saying he thinks they can fit in but they might just take it anyway.

I think Daryl vs Michonne for 2nd in command could be a point of contention.

Only minor gripe is that none of Abraham's people were shown being interviewed.

I thought it was a good episode. A bit light on action but I can see they're setting things up for things to come.

It was nice to see Rick clean-shaven again and it took me back to Season 1. I think Rick is slowly turning into Shane in a lot of ways. His line at the end was very Shane-like, and he's coming across a lot more ruthless than in Season 2 for instance when he went to great lengths to do things Hershel's way and not rock the boat. He's also getting pretty familiar with another man's wife by the looks of it.

Seems a bit fishy that the group would be allocated houses so easily and it seemed to me Deanna was hiding annoyance that the group were all banding together when she stopped by Rick's. I'm wondering are the group under secret surveillance as Deanna noted they like to film things...

The role of the girl is intriguing. Is she feeding intel to other group members located nearby? Or is she not happy with putting on a fake front and sick of being under the microscope? I'm wondering does it have anything to do with Deanna saying they had to exile three men. Is this who the girl is in contact with? Impossible to say at this point.

One other thing - when does Morgan get involved again?

On that point. Remember Shane shaved as well before fully embracing the dark side....

No, Gabriel was there alright. He just didn't have a significant amount of screentime and no lines. Though the same could be said of Rosita, Tara, Eugene, Abraham etc.

That was a brilliant episode.. have no idea what's in store in this place but it has so much potential. Never read the comics but I presume they can't keep running forever.. whether this is their semi-permanent base (either joining or defeating these) will be very interesting to watch.

Carol fooling Deanna (who can apparently "exceptional" at reading people) on tape and with those nana clothes is intriguing - she is most dangerous without them knowing anything ... she will do ANYTHING to protect the group!

She will no doubt save the group AGAIN!

Cameras and printers are two different things. But it's hard to believe that none of those nice houses had color printers. I think in the timeline of the show, it's only been a couple of years, so ink cartridges will start to suffer, but unopened ones should still be functional. And they shouldn't be a particularly difficult item to forage for.

feel like I'm the one with Carol n Daryl on either shoulder - "look up the Alexandria Comic arc" "do it" "don't do it" "look at the flowers"......

Excellent episode, after the near starvation & dehydration they've been through to Million Dollar Listings in 3episodes!

The "survivors" of Alexandria clearly need Ricks group more than they need the refuge & interesting to hear Rick put it so bluntly at the end

I will Survive! I will avoid Spoilers!!!! I will stay strong & not show weakness!!!!!!!

I reckon the people already at camp will try to kill Daryl.

The hairdressers husband is going to be trouble.

The girl, somethin doesn't add up.

And handing over control so to speak to Rick (being a police officer) so quickly is just weird?

Hard to believe Aidan has been leading runs for any amount of time and is still alive.

    Man's clearly an idiot.

Almost every member of Rick's group makes for an infinitely superior scavenger.

There's just not enough people there for that community to flourish. Not if most of them are old/incompetent/sitting on a porch and weird. But I guess we've only seen half of them. Carol was just fantastic! Laughing fondly over the memory of her dear sweet husband in the interview! The abusive b@stard. Not to mention the twinset and pretend struggling to take her gun off. Nothing disarms people like grey hair and pearl earrings I guess.

Really good episode IMO, this series really has been great.

I reckon the folks at Alexandria are not as innocent as they seem. The group was told they were going to Alexandria to audition so what they're seeing could all be an act to test them in case they decide to turn on the town. If they do try and take over they may get to see what they're really capable of.

The girl might be helping or feeding information to the people who were kicked out, one or all of them might be a relative or part of her original group.

And yeah, Carol to save the day again when the sh1t hits the fan.

    I had the same idea.

I really couldn't stand her for the first few season but she has really developed into such a strong character.

I've a feeling the weary travellers are going to take over the township by force.

I almost cheered when Aidan got knocked on his ass :D

Really good episode I thought, but I spent the whole time wondering, "How is it going to go wrong?"

Something just doesn't add up about it, I know the leader said the area was basically evacuated so there's not many roamers around, but we've seen the herds moving around before, I don't know how they survived to this point.

As for the girl, I reckon her dad was one of the men that were banished but she was allowed to stay, hence the moody persona...or, you know, she's just a normal teenage girl.

Ricks gun going missing bothers me, it means he was being watched, either by the Alexandria people or the lads who were kicked out, if its the first option, its possible they're still spying on them and would have heard Ricks final line from the episode (we already know they have parabolic mics).

4 episodes left, I wonder how big a cliffhanger we'll be left with this time...

I think the girl was out in the forest when they were all coming in (i believe we seen her in the window and she quickly disappeared as they were all entering the gates initially)

I believe she has the gun, not necessarily for nefarious purposes. She may be just an explorer. But I think she took it and hid it elsewhere.

I think you can be very unlucky with Herds. Remember the herd at the farm. That was triggered by loads of them chasing a helicopter at the start of the episode. The farm happened to be in the way. But i think the security is very very weak. Just one row of fencing.

Only way to deal with Herds is to design a system of intercoms / bombs / speakers off in a direction away from the camp. If attacked the system sounds with the nearest speaker first then the next then the next until the herd travels off in the direction of the sound. Then its someone elses problem :)

Cracking episode. I really enjoyed it. As somebody who only really watches it week to week, religiously enough mind, and doesn't really speculate what happens next I'm really intrigued by what lies in wait in Alexandria. Can't wait for next week now.

Morgan could have gotten it :P

Yeah I thought this myself. Or the girl who is going outside.

Thought it strange that a hidden walker popped up where Rick had hidden the gun, youd wonder why it didnt pop up first time if it was there and if it only came since Rick had been there, then how was it hidden - are they covering themselves these days :)

I actually think the show leaves too long between resolving cliffhangers sometimes, we should have had SOME follow up with Morgan by now!

True, she was outside the wall when Rick hid it, but she was also in the abandoned house when they rolled up to the gate, and while we've no idea how long they were driving after Rick hid it, even short cutting through the woods, she would have had to have been fairly steaming through that forest to catch up with them...

I definitely don't think that the Alexandria group in their current guise could have survived up until this point.
There is definitely a sub group somewhere else you expect.

My biggest fear for the group is that they get riled up and cause trouble and risk their own existence in a safe zone.

I don't think Alexandria is hiding any sinister secret like Terminus or Woodbury but it's clear they are dangerously underpopulated and relatively weak.

Dangerously underpopulated because of the desperation expressed by Aaron and, later, Hilary Clinton (head woman at Alexandria) about how people were their most precious resource and how much they needed Rick's group, Aaron's lack of a photo of his people (his excuse about "poor exposure" was clearly a porky in that they do have advanced cameras in Alexandria), the mention of Judith being the only baby there, the fact they only had two of their own to send on a run (both being idiots) and just the general emptiness and eerie quiet of the place. Not for a second buying Hilary Clinton's excuse that they don't want everyone bothering them at once.

They are weak. A teenage girl jumps the fence at will (clearly wasn't her first or even tenth time), apparently unknownst to the rest. Can you imagine simple security breaches like that in a camp run by the Governor or Rick? A reckless fool is allowed not only to go on runs but actually lead them. He mentioned he lost people, I'm not surprised. When the fight broke out, Daryl and Glenn handled the fools with remarkable ease. Hardened survivors they ain't.

I think we may be heading for a u-turn in the show whereby the Alexandria crowd are now the naive idealists Rick's group once were and our heroes have become the cynical marauders. I doubt they'll ever collectively degenerate to the point where they become as savage as the Governors regime, Joe's gang and certainly not the frankly evil Terminites. But I do think the line between "good guys" and "bad guys" is going to become ever more blurred.
