Lets hope so, not one close game between the test sides so far and already 3 weeks in.

Game of the group stage. The opening bowlers vs the openers on both sides is going to be fascinating. Australia's batting lineup is relentless, Starc and Johnson can be as destructive as any middle order batsmen. Impossible to call.

Looks like it's Bailey to miss out for Clarke, awfully tough on him.

Hope this one is as good as it seems on paper. I'm calling an Australian victory.

Gonna side with the Kiwis, Eden Park's aura even extending to Cricket teams :pac:

Interesting start, Finch and Warner punishing them with 30 off the first two overs, then a 6 by Finch to start the 3rd before being clean bowled

Anyone know where I can listen to this online. I assume BBC is region locked as usual. On my phone so can't really watch a stream.

TuneIn radio app. Stations from around the world.

Great ebb and flow here, after a really nervy start NZ steady the ship by bowling Finch, then leak a ton more runs to the point where NZ bring in Vettori to stem the bleeding, before dismissing Watson and Warner in consecutive balls.

97-6 now.....coming off the rails for the Aussies

Aussies crumbling totally. McCullum's looked an absolute genius again today and bringing Vettori early was a masterstroke

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,076 ✭✭✭Dan man

Clarke out, Australia lose a 7th wicket. Looks very bad for them now. Could be all out for less than 150.

    106-8 now. Wow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,076 ✭✭✭Dan man

8 wickets down, 2 to go.
7-26 in last few overs..... it's NZ v Eng all over again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 742 ✭✭✭ItsChecoTime

    Make that 106-9!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,056 ✭✭✭Sparks43

    This is unbelievable

    WTF is going on :eek::confused::confused::confused::confused:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,076 ✭✭✭Dan man

    This is glorious bowling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,206 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Australia were bloody lucky that their match v Bangladesh got rained off. :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,056 ✭✭✭Sparks43

    Bang all gone for 151

I did not see that coming

Do we still have the 45 min break between the innings?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,056 ✭✭✭Sparks43

So the only way we will see competitive ODI matches in the ICC WC is if we only allow the full test nations to play in a 10 team tournament

Yeah Good luck with that

    Is the game actually cricket?

80-1 to 106-9 and 11 off first ball for NZ... I thought cricket was supposed to be boring?

    Surreal stuff.

    NZ wobble coming up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,521 ✭✭✭Giggsy11

We have India Vs UAE also today, starts in another 90 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,082 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

and 11 off first ball for NZ....

11 of first over not ball....I think, 17 of over 6.

    Another wicket gone, 79/4.

Nope... 11 off 1st ball as it was a no ball (hit a 4) and got a free hit for 6.

No issue with Mc Cullum batting like a maniac, but if he does, the rest have to bat somewhat sensibly, some very stupid shots here.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,721 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

130/4 now, but I wonder how McCullum's arm is.

Chant in the ground "you're worse than England":pac:

Just as well the associate teams are there to make this world cup interesting. Too many one sided landslides in games between test playing sides.

15/5. Why did Williamson take the single and expose them to Starc...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,384 ✭✭✭booth70

Not for nothing is cricket a game of glorious uncertainties......

    Just like that from Williamson!!!!!!!

    What a match!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

UAE will bat first v India after winning the toss. That game just starting. Pity there wasn't more d/n games in Perth, altogether more respectable hour for us

UAE down a couple of wickets already...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

41-4 this is gonna be a cakewalk for India

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    61-7 now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

UAE make 100. Didn't look likely for a long time

    102 all out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Some catch that for dhawan wicket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,430 ✭✭✭positron

Dhawan must be kicking himself for that. Out to UAE, trying to reach mere 102..!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Wish they could apply common sense in these instances and not have the interval.

But it's dinner time. Nom nom. :pac:

Just seen the scoreline for the Aus and NZ match. What.. how.. why? Some scoreline.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭pajor

India wrap things up in another 2 or so overs. 104/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 403 ✭✭holidaysong

Went to bed after the Australian innings. Ridiculous to see NZ only just scrape across the line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,456 ✭✭✭Gillespy

I finally gave up when McCullum got hit by Johnson and didn't Sky + the second part thinking it wasn't needed. It's why I love watching Australian cricket, first with Haddin and then Starc. Someone just needed to stick around with Clarke, I think he watched four or five fall at the other end. Williamson showed his class again. Both teams will be better for this game, get the obligatory collapse out of the way. I really hope that was a rehearsal for the final.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,082 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

Nope... 11 off 1st ball as it was a no ball (hit a 4) and got a free hit for 6.

Stand corrected, just after watching the highlights.

    Some game, great finish.
