As the title says guys... we're getting rid of the Server as it's only purpose is DHCP / DNS etc. now that we've gone cloud for e-mail and have NAS for file storage.

So, I want a hardcore DSL router, basically.

    About 10 PC's
    2 Network printers
    1 NAS

    Guest Wi-Fi essential

Any recommendations? Ideally in the max region of 200 euro

On the consumer side this is a top dog unit right now. D7 sub model is only slightly weaker but and a fair bit cheaper too if you want.

On the SME side this really is a workhorse. Or I should say these, included the search. The 2860 is great but out of budget, the 2760 is a cut down version but Im not sure to what extent, you can have a gander yourself.

Mikrotik Wireless router + a swtich

Those lads will even give you a hand setting it up.

Looks like it coul dbe worth a punt. We already have a switch in place... we're just getting rid of the old Server2003 so want something to act as a DSL router.

You still need a DSL modem, causing a new point of failure.

Only copped that there, non runner.

Ideally what I want is an all-in-one DSL router that'll be up to the task of handling what a small office throws at it. There's a bit of traffic from the NAS and printers, but other than that just bog standard internet traffic for up to 15 devices

I'd go with the archer linked above. It should have no issues with 15 active users.

BTW its worth considering if VDSL is going to be available in the foreseeable future for your line. If it is and you get an ADSL2+ only unit it'll mean buying a 2nd VDSL modem to continue to use it. That'd be the advantage of the drayteks in that they can do both.

Yes, I have taken this into consideration. Given that we're in Galway City Centre, I think it's advisable to get a VDSL as surely it's available in the area, and will be recommending they upgrade.
