Ride them if you can and decide yourself. There's not s lot between the AR and the Propel, duno anything about the Merida but I personally wouldn't put Merida in the same class as Giant or Felt. Personally I love the Look of the Giant but think I'd plump for the Felt if pushed to make a choice.

Check the lead time of the propel if you're in a rush. I'd have no problem comparing a merida to the others all are main chains now and mass produce all of their bikes.

If you want individual do lightweight and open your wallet.

I have a felt ar all be it the older version and love it. Test rode both the new ar and the propel as I was thinking of changing. I tink the propel slightly shades it only bad thing being the brakes weren't great but I really liked the ar too. Can't comment on the merida but test ride all 3. Keep us posted on what u decide to go with

Love the look of the merida reacto 4000 or 5000. But as other posters have said, ride them all and decide.

where can I ride them all? Do you think I'd be able to ride them all in dublin or Galway in a day from different shops?

Yes, I dont see why not. If you can confirm they are in stock then I would at least try to ride them all. No point splashing out on one of them and then finding out it doesn't suit you or that you hate it.

just got a message from a bike store to tell me that the felt ar5 is sold out for the year but they have the lower model - the Ar6, with tiagra!
