I'm searching for a large villa in Portugal.

The above website has some suitable properties. Their policy states that the booking deposit is 25% with the full balance payable 10 weeks before arrival.

Does that seem normal? I would have expected balance payable on arrival but I'm not too familiar with this.

Booking.com have a portal for holiday villas as well, I was looking for one for Florence for the summer but have decided to go with a hotel

    tripadvisor.ie
    airbnb.ie

probably plenty more options but these seem to be the best sites

tripadvisor has a payment protection policy on most properties.
