does "a" take a seimhiu in this context

    if you say
    cad a chloiseann sibh- should the cloiseann take a seimhiu.
    céard a cheannaíonn tú.... should the ceannaionn take a seimhiú etc


    if so why?

    The "a" introduces a subordinate clause, whose verb is lenited.
