    Hi,

Has anyone come across this, as its baffling?

Just noticed that the fan keeps going when the microwave stops?

So i have to turn it off at the mains, when not in use, but its not that accessible as for some reason the switch is behind the unit same with teh fridge switch but the cooker switch is more accessible on the wall beside the unit

    Description below:

BUILT-IN Microwave Oven MUMW23SS With Building In Trim TUK23SS,

    Hope that helps.

I had that issue with a microwave we bought in aldi. They replaced it and said they'd had several of them back the same week with the same issue and that their head office had told them it was a known fault. It didn't start immediatelyafter we bought it, it started after a year I'd say.
Not much help to you but it might be worth returning it if you can as it would seem it is a fault.

I forgot to say it was part of a built in kitchen & afaik 4yr old now! its probably something wrong with the mechanism?

Could be the air vents around the back are clogged as the fan is supposed to "overrun" if the unit is still hot after use to cool it down, it should stop after a few minutes.

Some are designed to carry on running to cool the circuitry and cut off after a few minutes.

Thanks for replies, brother had a look at it, he took it out of the built in unit & & after having a look around he saw the problem.

There was a problem with the button to push the door open, as it seemed to keep the fan on, but has now been fixed as he took the side panel off on the inside & released whatever that it had holding it.

Its working now, thank fcuk & him :D
