    Hi there.
Just looking for peoples thoughts on a possible trip to India.
I can't decide between an organised trip as part of a group or just to go it alone.
My preference would definitely to do it on my own steam but I'm wondering if this is realistic? Of course I know it can be done and that it's more than possible but I've looked at itineraries of trips that I would like to do and I'm just not convinced that it would be possible to organise everything that would be included as part of a group trip.
I just think it would be very very difficult.
I know I could easily organise accommodation no problem but I wouldn't then want to be in a position that I would be on the ground wasting time trying to organise for example a driver to a site etc etc
    Many thanks!

It's not too difficult to get a driver. Even a cheap hotel should be able to sort that for you. I stayed in Delhi the summer before last, and it was no problem. Only thing is, steer clear of the numerous touts that will try to pick you up and sell you a tour. Especially in fast food restaurants. Easy to spot really. They won't have any food bought!
Also, trips take longer than you think!
But overall, India was easier than I expected!
