Confused - Irish Digital Ready vs Saorview

    Hi All
I'm looking to buy a smart TV for around 250e and am looking at the below 2 TVs in Currys:
    Samsung-lt24d390swxu-smart-24-led-tv-monitor/329865/397.0.5
    and
    LG-24mt35s-smart-24-led-tv-monitor-with-mhl/321728/397.0.5#video

They are both Irish Digital Ready and I am not sure whether this works in Ireland. I'm in Dublin so am not based near northern borders to get freeview channels.

In PC World/Currys, there are no Saorview TVs in this price range, nor do Argos.

So if I was to get one of the above TVs, prob the Samsung one as it is Full HD, do I need to get a Saorview box?

    Cheers.
