Went in to halfords they Basicly just sold me whatever I pointed at, didn't ask to measure me or explain the bikes.
Went into mcgloughlins in newbridge and they proper looked after me, lady called Alison couldn't do enough explaining groupsets, bang for buck, wouldnt let me leave without making sure I was fully comfortable on the bike. I would highly recommend. Wouldn't try anywhere else now

I can't speak for Halfords but I find Eurocycles great for bargains but lacking somewhat on service compared to my LBS.

With chainstores like Halfords it's a bit hit and miss as to whether you get service from someone who really does know what theye are talking about. We've had some very positive comments about service from some stores and equally less so about others.

Yeah I suppose it's Personal thing but really goes to show service goes a long way, esp for those new to the sport, they may have that sale, but it comes back around if you know you've been looked after, return business is really the priority of the smaller shops
