Hey folks. Just looking to see if anyone has used Drimnagh Motors for used cars and what experiences were had?

I can't see anything on them and usually no news is good news.

    Cheers.

I bought a car of them 6 months ago with mixed results. large stock of cars at ok prices. Will service (Oil and oil filter), valet and NCT it if required car for you before pick up and give you 3 month warranty.
The car I was interested in was due a timing belt which they were not going to do and couldnt verify whether it was done or not. Even though car belonged to the brother of they garage they bought it off so documentation should not have been hard to get. Evantually they agreed after a bit of discussing. Brought car home had an odd vibration in the car. Dropped it back and turns out the Break discs were warped so got new ones fitted under warranty. This is something they should have picked up themselves, same with the timing belt thing as when i mentioned it, it was news to them.
Log book took got mislaid somewhere and they didnt stamp the service book for the car.
Just got car serviced locally and the Fuel filter was clogged (hadnt been changed in a long Time) and also the clutch could now do with being replaced.
Still happy enough with my purchase but should have done my homework more

Cheers for the feedback. They seems pretty decent anyway but thanks for the reply. Gives me something to think about in terms of asking plenty of questions and making sure they do the work required before i buy. I suppose you shouldn't really have to do anything to a car you buy, even though it's used.

I think my plan is to get a full service done anyway within the warranty period of wherever i buy to make sure everything is picked up on, just in case the car needs something.

I also bought car off them last month , could not be happier with my purchase !! , car was well presented , Had a couple of warranty issues which were taken care of , even provided a free replacement car for the day which enabled me to get to work , salesman (Karl ) was really on the ball

I wouldn't be happy with warranty issues within a month, do they not prep the cars or what?
Warranty should fix issues that happen after you buy the car, not bring the car up to saleable standard.

Would you not rather have the warranty issued resolved within the warranty period , the problem was a an electronic handbrake switch ! This fault could have occurred at anytime on the car , I am only happy it happened inside the warranty period !! It says nothing about the way the car was prepared , which I might add was fully serviced and prepared to my satisfaction , I have dealt with many garages in my time and have to give these lads a thumbs up , used cars remember are not new cars that's why that have warranties

Maybe I've been on boards too long and getting paranoid but your first ever post on boards and singing their praises.
As I said..I'm probably being paranoid.

Don't know them but this craic of saying the car is serviced and it wasn't, I wouldn't buy a bicycle off them. If they lie about something simple like that then what else are they lying about.
That is just basic maintanence. Don't know what you're looking at but a tdi requires regular oil changes otherwise you're asking for trouble. Mine is done every 7,000 miles without fail.

I happened to spot a comment when I googled the garage name , just wanted to give some feedback in a good experience for a change that's all
