This time of year, you'll be lucky to get anywhere you can just turn up and play as a lot of pitches are block-booked.

You could try ESB Sportsco in Ringsend

You want to book the whole pitch for an hour or you want to turn up and play in a 5-a-side?

Turn up, pay an play 5 a side for an hour, at about 4pm so shouldn't be teams training then

I used to play 5-a-side here. Its a great little pitch, no broken bottles or syringes. Never heard of a walk on and play match though.

Unlikely to be an astroturf pitch that you can just walk onto and play.

    You have to rent it

I think you can walk on to it and play?

Sherrif do use it but I don't think they've exclusive rights to it. It's a communal pitch to the best of my knowledge.

Obviously if there's somebody training on it there's nothing you can do.

The Astro park in Tallaght and Coolock run astro leagues during the week. There's always teams looking for players. Maybe give them a try?

Well we booked and paid for it. I am sure you can walk on and play but I doubt that's the intention of the place.

The intention of the place is to provide a facility for the local community to use.

During the day, particularly during the summer months you see kids regularly play on it.

the youth club have the key though, it's usually locked if not in use, they used to leave it open but it started to get littered and you'd have to kick off the kids before you could play

So you can rent it through the youth club. I haven't been able to find anything online about renting it or prices.
