Transalating honda nav system from japanese to english

    I just got a japanese import 2008 honda Fit with a nav system that is in japanese. Can anyone help on how to translate form japanese to english

    I had a Honda Legend with a nav system in Japanese, couldn't be converted.

    That was an older car / system though (96) so they might have changed that by now

    That's one issue, the other could be that you only have maps for the Japanese region.

    Can you eject the Sat NAv DVD (in the glove box compartment in a Civic), and see if it says "Europe West" ?

    Honda charge around €200 for a map update disk.

    It cant be done via an update disc, I've tried on various Jap imports and Hondas in particular and never had success, breakers and find the equivalent from a uk car or facia adapter if available and new headunit is your best option

    It's impossible AFAIK. Would be easier to learn Japanese.
