So I've bought my bike - I bought a Orro Oxygen which I'll be picking up later in the week.

I'm new to cycling so could do with some advice as to what exactly I require in terms of extras.... Naturally I need a helmet but what do I need in terms of Lycra etc...?

Sweet bike, best of luck with it.

You'll definitely need padded shorts, either the standard type,or the bib shorts, which are like lycra dungarees. These don't work their way down as you cycle,so it avoid the saggy nappy look, but mostly it is personal preference

Pedals might not come with the bike, you can get flat platform pedals, which you can cycle in any shoe,or the clip less pedals, which you need special shoes, that you bolt a "cleat" to,the cleat is a little jobbie that goes onto the bottom of the shoe, and clips into the pedal. Lots of different types of these, and it is all down to personal preference.

A pair of bottles and bottle holders, extra cool points if they match the bike

A saddle bag, with a spare tube or two, tyre levers, a multi tool and a few quid incase you get caught out

2 pumps,a track pump for home, and either a mini pump,or CO2 pump for the road.

Good gloves are a must this time of year,as is a nice warm base layer,or jersey. I used to always just put up with getting wet,but I got a pac-a-mac type thing from Pennys I think, and I'm a convert,so much nicer than getting soaked through

Sometimes aldi come up with a bike tool kit, comes with the basics, like a set of allen keys, torx keys,a chain whip,BB tool, cassette tool and cone spanners, great to have around if you fancy fixing it at home. A nice set of Allen keys (preferably with a ball end one side) can be picked up from halfords, really good for doing routine stuff, like tightening stem bolts, and adjustments to fit. A chain breaker is good to have too.

Be aware that your collection of cycling gear will all be able to fit into a carrier bag at first, and within a year you'll end up with a shed full of bikes and tools, and a wardrobe full of lycra. It isn't the type of stuff you go out and buy at once,it generally gets built up over time. Best is to go out and enjoy it,and buy stuff as you find you need it.
