Says estimated shipping time is 13/3 so a bit of a wait but am very tempted at the price

Its a budget panel from Panasonic. Reviews online seem to be saying its pretty average.

Crazy buying a 4k tv unless you are running PC thru it. Do yourself a favour and buy a much higher quality 1080p. Most budget 4Ks aren't even using the HDMI spec high enough to carry the signal. And your eyes can't distinguish pixels that small at the average viewing distance (7/8 feet).

On what planet does 1080p trump 2160p equivalent?

On a 40 inch TV it's questionable whether it makes any difference, but pixel count is not the only determinant of picture quality.

On this Panasonic TV; no HEVC and no Netflix 4k means you'll have to have some external solution to actually get 4K content. I'd avoid.

On the same planet 1000bhp doesn't make a car go around the track faster than a 500bhp one. There are many factors at play such as quality of the UI, connections, micro dimming and contrast levels. Unless you are going 60inch plus, at normal viewing distances 4k is a waste!

There's more to a television than pixel count, you have hertz etc which all contribute to the overall viewing experience

There's barely any 4K content out there either, and you'll be paying a bit if a premium as a relitively early adopter. I'd say spend the same on high quality non UHD set

Number of pixels is just one of many ways to judge the quality of a TV. It's the same as megapixels on a camera. A 13MP camera on a Samsung smart phone isn't a patch on an 8MP digital SLR.

nice but kinda small, my computer screen is already 40 inch with 3840x2160 screen resolution.. okay its not 3D but 40 inch as TV is a bit small and it has a good panel, not a cheap panasonic panel (749 euros ex shipping)
