Hi, I need to put up a wallpaper border, I've only done this once before and that was a self adhesive border. I wouldn't have must experience wallpapering either!
It is a small enough room, probably only need about 10 linear metres. Can anybody give me a few tips please?, can I buy pre mixed paste?, I do not have a wallpapering table, how can I improvise?! Can I do the internal corners in one run or do I have to cut and start again from each corner? Please excuse my ignorance but I'm more a painter than paperer!

Check the ceiling and make sure it is a reasonably straight join with the wall - a length of twine and someone to hold the other end is easiest. (if it is not, find a different solution to border). Make sure the ceiling colour comes down the wall a small bit so you don't see wall colour above the border.

If the border is fairly narrow you could improvise with a piece of board to paste on, if it is wide you really need to be treating it as wallpaper. Suggest you get someone to help you put it up, juggling a length of folded border and steps can get you in a tangle!

I would not do corners as one run. Go a centimeter round the corner and start again. Corners are almost never 'square' and you will find your border running down the wall.

Don.t get the ready made adhesive, you will regret it when stripping it off. A small pack of ordinary paste will do the trick.
As above, start in corner least noticeable. Measure wall, cut length allowing a couple of cm extra. Paste it on kitchen table, fold it concertina style and allow to soak as per instructions.
Use a cloth to smooth it on and remove bubbles.
If you need to match it in the middle of wall, find match and allow to overlap. Get blade and splice through overlapped paper, then remove the 2 loose pieces and smooth back.
