Can anyone recommend a hair dye to use at home that isn't damaging and will give good results. My hair is medium brown and I want something rich brown/chestnut

I've used L'oréal Castings a lot and really liked the results- hair was always very shiny after I used it, plus it's only semi permanent so no re-growth, it just fades out til you do it again.

I've also used Lush Caca henna dyes which are VERY messy but your hair would be lovely and shiny afterwards- and the ingredients are all natural. Some people can have reactions to these though (and any dyes) so I'd always say to do a patch test before doing any home dying. I think a lot of people ignore this thinking "ah it'll be grand" but I wouldn't, personally.
