Fun 1.2L or smaller cars?

Just wondered what kind of small cars are fun out there.
I'd kinda love a 106 rallye the 1.3 but they are so old now there would be a screw loose to buy one even if I could find one. I had a Charade Gtti or Gtxx back in the day and it was great fun.
I've a 1.2 16v corsa right now and wondered is there anything more fun for the money it takes to run the corsa?
I'd like the idea of the punto sporting 1.2 16v 6 speed, anyone had one? Are they a bit old now too? I think they've ten horses over my car.
Would the seciento sporting by nippy? It's kinda tiny though.

The sei feels nippier than it is. On paper its quite slow. Great fun though.

Glanza is most bang per cc

(Just noticed you're talking 1.2 or smaller)

A MK1 Punto Sporting would get my vote.
    Fantastic things to drive.

I was going to suggest a Suzuki Ignis sport, but the engine size is 1.5 which would be a bit "big" for your requirements. I think the Suzuki Swift Sport is similar then.

There is a 100bhp version of the Fiat Panda. That's a reasonable bit of power in that car and it could be a bit of craic to drive I imagine. Sub 10 seconds 0 to 100 kph would surprise a few BMW 316 drivers too Ha ha. It's a 1.4 engine though.

Daihatsu course 3 cylinder is great fun and sounds like a V6 if you remove air filter housing, way ahead of a Cinq, I did an auto test in one with good results.

Edit that one is automatic, you'd need a 5 speed maybe.
