Condensation on windscreen

So the last couple of days after the rain there has been some condensation on the inside of the windscreen. Car wasn't driven either day. I checked the mats, front and back and can't find any damp spots. Seems to be mainly on the middle of windscreen only, not on any other windows. First time I ran heating for 5 mins to dry however was back the next day after it had rained.

Did a check on here and seems to be it could a leak, pollen/cabin filter needs replacing or air ducts under bonnet could be blocked.

Will check under the bonnet when I get home. I will then have a go at the cabin filter, even though heard this is a tricky job on a Ford C Max.

Is there anything else to check before bring it to a garage to get checked? Is it a big issue? i.e. worth paying a local garage to look at (or bring back to garage I bought it from as they are a bit far away).

A sock full of cat litter will clear it up in the meantime

Checked carpet, under mats etc and couldn't find any damp or wet patches.

Not sure if windscreen ever replaced. How would I find out?

If it was it is most likely not the same make as other glass on the car.

    Ok will check later.

Anything else worth checking after carpets, filter and air ducts under bonnet?

Is the car parked flat on the street/drive?

The fact that the condensation is confined to the centre of the windscreen might also suggest that the evaporator hose is clogged up and not draining AC related droplets/water out. The evaporator is usually located behind the centre console panel. Look for wet patches on both sides of the panel.

It would be parked on a slight decline, I.e. Front of the car would be lower, only slightly though.

I don't really use the A/C at all if that makes any difference. When you say each side of the panel do you meant down at the carpet level?

Run your hands up from the floor on both sides of the center console panel (the one with AC knobs, radio etc.)and the firewall (dividing wall between the passenger compartment and the engine). If there is leak something has to be wet there.

A lot of post seem to point to pollen filter assembly. It is either under the scuttle panel at the bottom of the windscreen or accessible from the inside of the car.

    Thanks.

So could be casing around filter as well or windscreen sealing.

Am I right in saying the filter on a c max is under the fuse box under the glove compartment? Was on the drivers side in one YouTube video!!

In the one I watched was behind the centre console but to get at it you would have to disassemble trim parts from underneath of glove box.

Am starting to think this is a bit more complex than I first thought!!

Check that heater controls are set to draw fresh air from outside and not set to recirculate. This would cause condensation to form continuously while car is running.
