So I bought a new asus nexus 7 tablet but have lost the friggin charger. I'm trying to find an original one to buy but can only seem to find these other ****ty manufacturers that might ruin the device.

    Can anyone help?

It's just standard USB, nothing fancy.

Ah I see, its just I read a few reviews on amazon re chargers and they say that some can ruin the device by supplying incorrect wattage, perhaps like when you buy a charger for a phone and it takes twice as long to charge up compared to the original.

A USB port on a computer or laptop may be a bit slow, but apart from that I can't see how you could damage the device. Any USB plug from 1 amp up to 2.1 will be fine. Check other phone chargers you might have already.

I installed a few double sockets with USB ports on them to replace the chargers. Just incase something happened if one got faulty if it was left switched on.

Yes, you need a 2.1 amp charger for the Nexus 7

poor quality chargers are **** a lot of the issue is that they don't fully change the voltage to a nice flat DC. Most of these **** chargers break quite quickly..... Lesson here is not to buy another.

Best chargers I've owned. Fast charging very durable. I use it primarily for Samsung devices.
