Costs awarded against

    Hi,

We are currently in the process of having our house re-possessed by the bank and also entering bankruptcy.

The court case was recently and we didn't contest it. We received a letter from the court informing us of the decision and giving us a date to hand over possession by, none of which we are contesting either.

It also awarded costs against us but didn't mention how much those costs are or how or when to pay them.

How does this work? Will an invoice from the bank's Law Firm just land on the doormat some day or will the court send us a bill?

Because of the upcoming bankruptcy hearing we will need to have all our outstanding debts and I don't want to leave anything out.

It's well worth making sure you're getting proper advice on the bankruptcy; your query would be best directed to your advisor, therefore.

For what it's worth I wish you all the best.

I would guess that it will be the Bank's Solicitors who will send you the bill once they have calculated all costs. I would ask the person who is handling your bankruptcy or else just ring the Bank's Solicitors and ask them when you can expect the bill (you don't have to say why).

All the best in this hard and stressful time.
