Hi Just wondering re the above I had an xmas job but it finished xmas eve. I dont live in galway and would be paying 60-70e a week commuting there but if got a good paying job would be worth it.
My plan is to head there for the day handing out cvs but just curious before i go what the story is. I say paid work as an internship would not do.
    Any help??

    Follow this thread.

There are usually notices up in shop windows etc that wouldn't be advertised in papers. The Galway Advertiser is online too, comes out on a Thursday and has jobs.

What kind of experience /background do you have?

Thank You. Ive followed that now. I have Retail backround. Hard I know to get work in this area. Ive done courses but to be honest retail is what suits. I have also been looking at the online papers.

It's tough at the moment. I have over a decades experience in retail and have been applying for loads of jobs over the past month and haven't gotten any replies, never mind an interview. Starting to think it's not what you know but who you know unfortunately.

I'm going to give it another few weeks but if I don't find anything I'll be moving away from Galway... Lovely place but hard to survive with no income! Best of luck to you anyway.

So depressing the you have to ask if there are any paying retail jobs, OP. :( What an age we live in.

    Best of luck.
