Hi just a quick question, I have a Samsung smart tv with a tuner that can receive Saorview and Free Sat, when I programme in Saorview the channel numbers start at 800 and RTE1 is at 859, on my Phillips tv in the kitchen which also has a SAorview tuner RTE1 starts at no1 and so on, I have tried everything to get the Saorview channels to start at no1 on the Samsung with no luck keeps starting at 800, any ideas what I can do or is that the way it is.

Check your menu related to country selection is set to Ireland.

You will only get Freesat features (proper EPG etc.) with country set to UK.

With a Samsung TV I would have thought it possible to manually renumber the terrestrial channels to your liking?

Freesat is a British service and if you are using that then you probably cannot set the TV to Ireland.
If you are just using Free to Air Channels this may be possible.

What country was it set to before? Is it one of the Freesat Samsung TVs?

If you don't have it set to UK, wouldn't your satellite channels be missing the 7-day programme guide & automatic retuning of channels that move frequency? I know I would find these features more useful than having the few Saorview channels turn up in the right positions in an autotune. :)
